The KL line of tool bars offers a 1/2" (12.7mm) shaft of Grade 304 Stainless Steel with the corners machined to fit in a handle drilled to 5/8" x 3" (15.9mm x 76.2mm), matching the size of the tang, and CNC-machined to fit the individual nanograin carbide cutters.

 

The KTS-KL-0, KTS-KL-150, and KTS-KL-50 tool sets include a tool bar machined to fit any of the square KL cutters (KL-0, KL-150, or KL-50).

 

The KTS-KL-R tool set includes a tool bar machined to fit the KL-R/R-NR/R2 round cutters only. KL-R tool bars shipped as of January 2018 will accommodate both the KL-R (16 mm), KL-R-NR (16 mm) and KL-R2 (20 mm) cutters.

The KTS-KL-D tool set includes a machined tool bar to fit the diamond shaped detail cutter KL-D.

 

All tool sets include the tool bar, nanocarbide cutter, mounting screw, and hex wrench.

 

The KL cutters are mounted to the bar using a standard #10-32 x 3/8" flat head socket screw, and should only be hand tightened using a 1/8" hex wrench. Replacement screws and wrench are available from Kilian Tools, however they are also readily available at most hardware and building centres.

 

Please note that all tool bars are sold without handles; many turners prefer to make their own handles or have preferred commercial handles they like. These tool bars will fit any handle with a 5/8" x 3" deep bore.
